Bio

Júlia Garcia Arboix

Born in 1996, Ripollès, Girona.

Bachelor's degree in Humanities with a focus on Thought Studies.

Artist of the void, in constant formation.

Júlia Arboix is a painter who explores human existence through Zen philosophy, wabi-sabi aesthetics, and her experiences in cold and solitary landscapes. Her most well-known collection, Gèlida, reflects stillness and emptiness as forms of ephemeral beauty. Darkness, an element present in her work, is not absence but a space filled with nuances and meanings.

Her art goes beyond abstract-naturalist representation, becoming a dialogue between the visible and the invisible. Light and darkness, presence and disappearance, are essential parts of her visual language. Her technique combines acrylic with textures such as plaster, gypsum, and marble, creating surface that evoke a physical relationship with the artwork and the hidden beauty in the simplest gesture.

                                                          CURRICULUM VITAE

Júlia Arboix trained at the "Escola d'Arts i Oficis de Vic", where she studied sculpture, drawing, and painting. Later, at the "Academia Espai d'Art de Barcelona", she specialized in material art and the exploration of various materials. Simultaneously, she graduated in Humanities with a focus on thought Studies, specializing in philosophy and Orientalism.

This combination of artistic and philosophical training imbues her work with a conceptual depth that transcends the image, opening a space for reflection on perception, time, and nature.
